Away from the highways and expressways and back to leisurely travel over country roads and byways. The way is the goal and we pitch the tent wherever the road takes us.
We want to travel Europe and Africa by car as we did when we were children. Away from the beaten tracks, the multi-lane highways and modern vehicles.
It all started with a legendary 1986 Subaru Justy with three cylinders and an incredible 54 horsepower. On the original Justy, we particularly appreciated the Japanese engineering of a selectable all-wheel drive. With the oldtimer we were on the road in the east to the Ukraine and in the south to the Sahara. The project "With 50 hp through the desert" was finished in autumn 2021 and so we gave the Justy into new, good hands at the beginning of 2022.
Currently we are traveling with an Audi A4 B7 with Quattro drive and feel the rally genes of the car every time we drive it. Above all, daily stages of 10 hours are possible without falling into bed dead tired in the evening. But here, too, it is soon a youngtimer and with a little over 220,000 km, the car is now reasonably broken in.
